Outdoors Amendment Sales Tax Increase Proposed by the "McSpendzie Brothers."
Taxpayer's League's nosalestaxincrease.org has launched a hilarious new radio ad. This comes on the heels of a shorter, more somber ad launched just a week ago. It appears the two ad campaigns will run concurrently.
The Ad, titled "McSpendzie Brothers" features a really good impersonation of SCTV's Bob and Doug McKenzie, the back-baccon chomping, beer-swilling brothers who were portrayed by Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas.
Besides being pretty fun to listen to, the ad makes a good point about the absurdity of the constitutionally dedicated sales tax proceeds proposed by the amendment.
"Vote NO" lawn signs are now available at nosalestaxincrease.org.
